Duties as English Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Teach using pre-prepared lesson plans and resources
  • Focus on classroom delivery and student engagement
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Support students in developing confidence in reading, writing, and communication
  • Work collaboratively with the English department and wider school staff
Ideal English Teacher:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching English within a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
