Duties as a Nursery Room Lead:
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the nursery room
  • Deliver high-quality learning opportunities in line with the EYFS Framework
  • Support and mentor Early Years Practitioners and support staff
  • Plan engaging activities that meet the needs of all learners
  • Monitor, assess, and record children's progress
  • Create an inclusive environment where every child can thrive
  • Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, and external professionals
  • Ensure safeguarding, welfare, and health & safety standards are maintained at all times
Ideal Nursery Room Lead:
  • Level 3 Childcare/Education Diploma Qualification or equivalent
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • Evidence of EYFS qualifications or training (Level 3-5 Diploma)
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
  • Sound understanding of how to use and adapt a range of teaching styles within Early Years education
  • Proven ability to personalise learning and provide opportunities for all children to achieve their potential
  • Experience leading or supporting within an Early Years setting
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
