Warehouse Deputy Team Leader
Salary - £30,000 per annum
Hours – Full time, permanent contract. Mon-Fri
Location – Ashton In Makerfield, Lancashire

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Deputy Team Leader to be based at one of the client’s main site across the UK in the North West of England. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-known, globally based environmental consultancy. In this role, you will be support a safe working environment for the department by using all the available tools and procedures. You will also assist with the development of new safety procedures to ensure continued improvement.

Additional responsibilities include:
 

• Ensure all safety procedures are followed for the service unit servicing and loading.
• Ensure correct and safe storage of all service units.
• Conduct thorough safety and maintenance checks on all units reporting and addressing issues as required and completing the required repairs before filling.
• Highlight any areas for improvement in the Warehouse and advise Team Leader of excessive vacant storage space to enable best efficient storage use.
• Assists with operation of stock and chemical movement sheets to correct stock levels (including internal stock movements).
• In conjunction with the Warehouse Team Leader, manage the efficient and safe storage of material on site.
• Stock checking (month end) and stock taking as part of the internal audit program.
• Ensure all materials are stacked correctly in warehouse, racking system and/or other storage areas.
• Cover for warehouse team leader in times of absence.
   

Qualifications / Skills Required:

 

• Previous experience of supervisory or exposure to of supervisory led duties in a warehouse setting.
• Counterbalance and Reach truck licences.
