We are currently seeking an Assistant Facilities Manager to join the Facilities Management team for my client in their Glasgow office on a temporary basis to cover a period of long-term sickness absence.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced facilities professional looking to work within a prestigious corporate environment. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the site, ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality workplace experience for staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular health and safety inspections and maintain compliance standards.
- Manage and supervise on-site contractors, ensuring works are carried out safely and effectively.
- Monitor reactive maintenance requests and ensure completion within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate deliveries and oversee site logistics.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mailroom operations.
- Support meeting room and event space setups in line with client requirements.
- Undertake general facilities and manual handling duties as required.
- Act as Fire Marshal and First Aider when required.
- Provide a professional front-of-house service, welcoming staff and visitors.
- Programme and issue staff and visitor access cards.
- Investigate, resolve, and escalate facilities-related issues where appropriate.
- Assist in maintaining a safe, compliant, and well-presented working environment.
- Previous experience within Facilities Management, Workplace Services, or Building Management.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and workplace compliance.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating maintenance activities.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Competent IT skills and experience using FM systems would be advantageous.
- Fire Marshal and First Aid qualifications are desirable but not essential.
- Immediate start available.
- 1-2 month temporary contract.
