Test Technician

Location: High Wycombe

Salary: £28,000 per annum

ReeVR Talent are currently looking for a Test Technician to join our clients busy manufacturing team. This is a hands on Test Technician role involves the mechanical and electrical inspection and testing of components, sub-assemblies and finished products.

Key Responsibilities for the Test Technician

• Carry out mechanical and electrical inspection and testing throughout the manufacturing process.
• Inspect incoming components, sub-assemblies and finished products to required standards.
• Accurately complete test, inspection and sign-off documentation.
• Read and interpret CAD and technical drawings.
• Support investigations into internal and customer concerns, identifying root causes and supporting corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate test and inspection reports and KPI information.
• Follow company health & safety, environmental and 5S procedures.
• Support risk assessments and continuous improvement activities.

Skills & Experience for the Test Technician

• Previous experience in a testing or inspection role, ideally within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Good understanding of mechanical and electrical testing and measurement techniques.
• Knowledge of metrology is desirable.
• Experience with specialist mechanical/electrical testing would be advantageous.
• Able to accurately read and interpret technical drawings.
• Good problem-solving, communication and time management skills.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience creating test and inspection reports and documentation.
• Knowledge of A3 or 8D problem-solving would be beneficial.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and Lean/5S methodologies would be advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
