Building Surveyor - Social Housing

Location: Central London
Contract: Social Housing – Cyclical Works / Externals
Rate: £270 - £300/day

We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor to join a social housing contract in central London on an ongoing contract basis.  The role will involve carrying out building surveys, identifying repair requirements, taking photographs and producing clear, detailed specifications using NHF Schedule of Rates.  Works will external decoration, repointing, rendering, roofing, windows, fencing and pathways.

Requirements

• Previous experience in building surveying, ideally within social housing.
• Experience with older housing stock and planned/cyclical maintenance.
• Strong specification-writing experience using SORs.
• Good knowledge of current Building Regulations.
• Ability to produce clear survey findings and repair recommendations.
• Good communication skills and experience liaising with residents, contractors and operational teams.
• HND in Building, Surveying or equivalent.
• RICS qualification desirable.

Typically, you will be expected to complete 3–5 surveys per week.
