Scheduling Manager – Print Production

Dagenham Permanent Salary up to £45K

We’re recruiting a Scheduling Manager for a busy, high-volume print manufacturing operation in Dagenham. This is a key role with ownership of the production schedule across litho, digital print and finishing.

You’ll plan work from print through finishing and fulfilment, making sure customer deadlines are met while balancing machine capacity, labour, materials and maintenance. Working closely with Production Managers, Operations and Customer Service, you’ll spot bottlenecks early, manage changes to the plan and keep production moving.

What you’ll be doing

• Owning the daily, weekly and forward production schedule across litho, digital and finishing
• Planning the most effective route for each job based on capacity, equipment and available skills
• Monitoring progress, identifying orders at risk and putting recovery plans in place
• Replanning quickly when breakdowns, shortages or urgent customer requirements arise
• Leading scheduling updates at daily production meetings
• Using ERP/MRP systems and performance data to improve schedule accuracy, machine utilisation and production flow
• Planning capacity and contingencies for peak periods

What we’re looking for

You’ll have proven production planning or scheduling experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of litho, digital print and finishing. You’ll be comfortable scheduling across multiple machines and departments, using ERP/MRP systems, and making clear decisions when priorities compete.

This role calls for someone organised, analytical and calm under pressure who can work confidently with both production teams and customer-facing colleagues. Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and peak planning would be valuable.
