Design Technology Teacher

Our client is a thriving 11–18 secondary school with sixth form, serving a diverse student community and offering a broad and ambitious curriculum. Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:

• Teach Design Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
• Inspire creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
• Maintain a safe and productive workshop/classroom environment
• Support students in developing confidence and independence
• Contribute to the wider development of the DT curriculum

Ideal Design Technology Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching Design Technology within a secondary setting
• Strong subject knowledge and practical skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
