IPC Technician

Location: Abingdon

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience

ReeVR Talent are looking for an IPC Technician to join our client's growing manufacturing business based in the Abingdon area.

The successful IPC Technician will have practical assembly experience, strong soldering skills and be comfortable working to or certified to IPC J-STD-001 Class 3 or IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards, as well as working from technical drawings and following detailed manufacturing and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities for the IPC Technician:

• Carry out hands-on assembly of electrical and mechanical components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Complete precision soldering and crimping of electrical components and connections.
• Work to IPC J-STD-001 Class 3 or IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.
• Inspect solder joints, components and completed assemblies to ensure they meet required quality standards.
• Work within a cleanroom manufacturing environment, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality and wearing appropriate PPE.
• Follow standard operating procedures, manufacturing instructions and safety procedures.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the assembly process.
• Work as part of a small, collaborative manufacturing team.

About you as the IPC Technician:

• Previous hands-on assembly or manufacturing experience.
• Strong soldering experience, ideally within an electronics manufacturing environment.
• Experience working or certified to IPC J-STD-001 or IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.
• Experience with crimping and electrical assembly.
• Able to read and understand technical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Comfortable working to standard procedures and safety requirements.
• Ideally experienced working within a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.
• Reliable, practical and keen to develop within a growing manufacturing business.
