Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician

6 month contract

Hours – Monday – Friday with early finish / half day Friday

Immediate start available

We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a fast-paced manufacturing business during a busy period on a contract basis.

This is a hands-on assembly role requiring good electro-mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and the ability to work accurately from technical drawings, work instructions / assembly instructions.

Ideally, you will have previous experience working within a safety-critical or highly regulated manufacturing environment, such as automotive, aerospace, medical devices or similar, although not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build electro-mechanical assemblies from technical drawings
• Assemble mechanical and electrical components
• Soldering 
• Use hand tools and measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers
• Inspect and test completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
• Carry out upgrades and repairs to electro-mechanical assemblies
• Work to defined quality procedures and standards

Skills & Experience:

• Previous electro-mechanical or mechanical assembly experience
• Ideally from automotive, aerospace, medical or another safety-critical manufacturing environment
• Able to read and work from engineering/technical drawings
• Soldering skills
• Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
• Experience assembling small, detailed components

This would suit someone from an Assembly Technician, Electro-Mechanical Assembler, Production Technician or Manufacturing Technician background.
