We are looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site in Leicester. This is a great opportunity to join a highly automated production site. You’ll be responsible for responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance and supporting ongoing improvements to equipment performance, reliability and efficiency.

The role: 

You will be responsible for keeping production equipment operating safely, efficiently and reliably.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Responding quickly and effectively to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), servicing and repairs
• Supporting the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
• Driving improvements in OEE, machine performance and reliability
• Working closely with Production and other site teams to improve operational standards
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Supporting audit readiness and compliance requirements
• Identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical improvement solutions
• Contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

About you: 

We’re looking for a technically capable and proactive engineer who enjoys working in a fast paced production environment.

• Electrical and/or Mechanical qualifications – City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or above
• Previous experience within an automated production environment
• Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or brewery environments would be advantageous
• A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to Health & Safety and quality standards
