An established New Zealand engineering business is seeking an experienced Electrical Services Manager to oversee and develop its Auckland electrical services operation.

This role will suit someone with strong industrial electrical experience who can take ownership of operational performance, project delivery, team leadership, client relationships and commercial outcomes across a busy electrical services division.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of the electrical services team, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and profitably.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading electricians, supervisors, contractors and subcontractors across the electrical services division.
• Managing projects from tendering, estimating and pricing through to delivery, commissioning and handover.
• Overseeing revenue, margins, labour planning, materials, cash flow and project forecasting.
• Maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities for new business.
• Driving performance across health and safety, quality, delivery standards, operational efficiency and team development.

The division is targeting around 600,000 monthly revenue at approximately 15% margin, so strong commercial ownership will be important.

You will ideally have:

• Strong experience across industrial electrical services, contracting, maintenance or project delivery.
• Previous experience in a senior role such as Electrical Services Manager, Operations Manager, Contracts Manager, Electrical Manager or Senior Project Manager.
• A recognised electrical trade background and current New Zealand electrical registration.
• Solid commercial experience across estimating, tendering, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and margin management.
• Experience leading electricians, supervisors, subcontractors and wider project teams.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical installation, maintenance, commissioning and project delivery.
• Proven ability to build client relationships and support business growth.
• A good understanding of health and safety requirements in industrial or high-risk environments.

This is a hands-on leadership role where financial performance, people management, tendering, project delivery and client development will all be key parts of the position.

The package on offer is:

160,000–180,000 per annum full use of a vehicle

The final offer will depend on your experience, technical capability and commercial leadership background.

This position is based in Auckland, New Zealand.

You will work closely with senior leadership, project managers, engineers, supervisors and electrical trades teams, with some travel to client and project sites as required.
