In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of products and components for paint, ensuring surfaces meet the highest quality standards before entering the finishing process. Your work will play a vital role in delivering high-quality finished products.

As a Paint Prepper, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing components and products for painting, including sanding, filling, masking, cleaning, and degreasing
• Inspecting surfaces and identifying defects requiring rectification prior to paint application
• Carrying out surface preparation to ensure components meet quality standards
• Using hand and power tools to achieve the required finish
• Masking and protecting components prior to the painting process
• Supporting Paint Technicians and Spray Painters with the preparation of parts and materials
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Following all health and safety procedures and company standards
• Working to production schedules while maintaining excellent attention to detail and quality

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

• Previous experience as a Paint Prepper, Paint Preparation Technician, Vehicle Prepper, Production Prepper, or within a similar manufacturing environment
• Experience preparing metal, composite, automotive, aerospace, or manufactured components for painting
• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding, masking, filling, cleaning, and finishing
• Experience using hand and power tools
• The ability to follow technical instructions and work specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Good awareness of health and safety requirements
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
