We are recruiting for an Electrical Wiring Technician to join an established engineering company on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be involved in the manufacture and wiring of control panels and electrical equipment, including skid-mounted systems.

Key responsibilities:

• Wiring and assembling control panels from electrical drawings and schematics

• Drilling and fitting electrical control equipment

• Wiring skid-mounted equipment including valves, pumps, heaters and instrumentation

• Terminating electrical cabling and pneumatics

• Bench testing control panels

• Fitting pneumatic equipment

• Electrical reassembly of systems on site

• PAT testing and basic electrical stock control

• Some previous experience in electrical wiring, controls or panel building

• Ability to read and understand basic electrical drawings

• Basic panel wiring knowledge

• Comfortable using hand and power tools

• Good practical/workshop skills

• Reliable, organised and able to work as part of a team

Desirable but not essential: experience with P&IDs, PLCs/HMIs, fault finding, skid-mounted equipment or site-based electrical work. A full driving licence would also be advantageous.

This is a permanent, full-time position offering £18–£22 per hour, depending on relevant experience, with 40 hours per week.
