We're working with a well-established engineering manufacturer looking to add a Procurement Lead to their team. This Procurement Lead role offers the opportunity to join a company known for designing and manufacturing high-performance products supplied into specialist automotive, motorcycle and motorsport sectors. As a Procurement Lead, you'll play a key role in developing a more controlled, data-driven and increasingly automated approach to purchasing. This position combines hands-on procurement activities with process improvement, supplier development and MRP optimisation.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Procurement Lead, your key responsibilities will include:

• Taking ownership of procurement performance, control and continuous improvement
• Leading supplier development, negotiations and sourcing activities
• Improving MRP accuracy, purchasing processes and system automation
• Monitoring procurement KPIs and implementing recovery plans where required
• Working closely with Operations, Production and suppliers to manage risks and material availability

Key Requirements

To be considered for this Procurement Lead, you will need:

• Previous procurement, purchasing or supply chain experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Strong MRP/ERP systems knowledge and practical experience
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills
• Experience forecasting demand and managing inventory requirements
• Strong supplier management, negotiation and commercial skills

What They Can Offer You

As the new Procurement Lead, you can expect:

• Salary: £40,000 - £45,000
• Location: Witney, Oxfordshire
