Are you a talented Senior Mechanical Engineer looking for an opportunity to take ownership of exciting engineering projects from concept through to delivery? This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a growing international engineering business serving customers worldwide within a highly specialised and technically challenging sector.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development and delivery of bespoke engineering systems, working closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams. The successful Senior Mechanical Engineer will combine strong technical expertise with excellent project management skills and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
The OpportunityThis is a varied and rewarding position where the Senior Mechanical Engineer will:
- Lead engineering projects from initial specification through to manufacture, testing and delivery.
- Manage customer requirements, technical specifications and project documentation.
- Produce and manage manufacturing and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor.
- Source components, manage suppliers and maintain project profitability.
- Develop inspection, testing and commissioning procedures.
- Support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and manage a junior engineer within the team.
- Visit customer and supplier sites in the UK and internationally when required.
To be successful in this Senior Mechanical Engineer position, you'll ideally have:
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong knowledge of fabricated pipework systems and fluid transfer applications.
- Experience managing engineering projects and delivering solutions to customers.
- Knowledge of CE Marking, ATEX and PED requirements.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor 3D CAD software.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive and commercially aware mindset.
