Job Description:
This role is ideal for a PE Teacher who enjoys variety, can quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff, and is committed to delivering engaging lessons that inspire participation and promote healthy lifestyles. Duties as PE Teacher:- Deliver engaging PE lessons in line with the national curriculum and school expectations
- Teach PE to secondary-aged pupils, encouraging participation and confidence in physical activity
- Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
- Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and positive attitudes towards sport
- Adapt activities to meet the needs and abilities of all pupils
- Follow lesson plans provided by the school and ensure continuity of learning
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, effort, and participation
- Support pupils' learning and development throughout the school day
- Work collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams
- Uphold safeguarding, welfare, and health and safety responsibilities at all times
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience teaching PE at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational teaching style
- Ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Flexible, reliable, and adaptable to different school environments
- Available for daily supply assignments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
