£46,200 Overtime Available 
Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business in Cambridge.

The successful engineer will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, working across a range of electro-mechanical equipment. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in component manufacture, continuous improvement and reliability projects.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventative and condition-based maintenance across a range of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Respond to reactive breakdowns, fault find and complete repairs efficiently.
  • Manufacture and repair components using lathes, milling machines and welding equipment.
  • Work closely with production teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
  • Support continuous improvement projects across the site.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CMMS system.
  • Liaise with and coordinate on-site contractors where required.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain technical knowledge and competence.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out safely and in line with site procedures.
Experience Required
  • Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within Food Manufacturing, FMCG or a similar production environment.
  • Strong electro-mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings.
  • Experience working with milling equipment.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • A proactive approach to fault finding and problem solving.
  • Experience of continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
