RECfinancial are partnering with a well established business to recruit an experienced Payroll Team Leader.
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 Benefits Leicestershire Hybrid Working Available
Due to the office location this role is accessible from Wigston, Enderby, Leicester City Centre, Market Harborough, Lutterworth and more.
This is an excellent opportunity for a payroll professional looking to take ownership of an established payroll function within a successful multi-entity organisation. The position offers a blend of hands-on payroll processing, team supervision, compliance management and continuous improvement.
The RoleWorking as part of a supportive finance function, you'll be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely delivery of payroll, ensuring compliance with current legislation and providing guidance to junior payroll colleagues.
Responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end monthly payroll processing.
- Managing payroll changes including starters, leavers and contractual amendments.
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and external bodies.
- Payroll reconciliations and reporting.
- Resolving payroll queries and discrepancies.
- Supervising and developing junior payroll team members.
- Supporting payroll controls, audit requirements and process improvements.
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven UK payroll experience.
- End-to-end payroll processing knowledge.
- Strong understanding of PAYE, National Insurance, pensions and statutory payments.
- Previous experience supervising, mentoring or supporting payroll staff. (desireable)
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong Excel and reporting capabilities.
- The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.
- Salary up to £35,000
