We are seeking a commercially minded Trading Executive to join an established Australian recycling and industrial business based in Mackay.

The role will focus on sourcing and purchasing ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal, managing customer accounts and coordinating deliveries to nominated facilities.

This is a hands-on commercial role suited to someone with experience in sales, account management or industrial trading who enjoys building relationships, negotiating deals and identifying opportunities for growth.

• Manage existing customer accounts while developing new business opportunities.

• Build strong relationships with customers and understand their individual requirements.

• Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes based on customer needs.

• Coordinate scrap metal procurement and deliveries to relevant facilities.

• Work closely with trading and operations teams to maintain service standards.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies and safe work practices.

• Identify opportunities to improve processes, customer retention and business performance.

• Experience in sales, account management or business development.

• Experience in scrap metal, recycling, waste management or a related industrial environment is advantageous.

• Strong negotiation, communication and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and organise work effectively.

• Commercial awareness and a focus on growing customer accounts.
