Mechanical Development Technician – Milton Keynes

£16.64 per hour (£34,611 per annum), increasing with experience

Monday–Friday 08:00–16:30 40 hours per week

Are you a hands-on Engineering Technician who enjoys building, problem-solving and bringing new product designs to life?

We’re recruiting a Mechanical Development Technician to join an innovative engineering team, assembling prototype machinery and supporting the development of exciting new products.

The Role:

• Build and assemble prototype and development machinery.
• Carry out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical assembly.
• Work alongside Design Engineers to improve designs and resolve build issues.
• Use engineering drawings, hand tools and technical knowledge to bring concepts to life.
• Support product testing, continuous improvement and quality standards.

What We’re Looking For:

• An engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and an understanding of hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Confidence using hand and power tools and interpreting engineering drawings.
• A practical, proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
