Build Recruitment is currently working with a Housing Association to recruit an experienced Tiler & Finisher to join their Planned Works team in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for a permanent position, competitive salary and the benefit of a company van and fuel card.

You will be working on a planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programme, carrying out tiling, finishing and snagging works across residential properties. We are keen to hear from experienced tilers, finishers and multi-trade operatives who take pride in their workmanship and can deliver a high-quality service to residents.

Previous experience in social housing is beneficial, but candidates with relevant domestic or refurbishment experience are encouraged to apply.

• Carrying out wall and floor tiling as part of planned kitchen and bathroom refurbishment programmes.

• Preparing surfaces and ensuring they are suitable for tiling, including measuring, levelling and applying adhesives.

• Completing grouting, silicone sealing, edging and finishing to achieve a professional, high-quality result.

• Undertaking snagging and remedial works, identifying defects and ensuring all work is completed to the required standard.

• Completing minor making-good and finishing tasks associated with kitchen and bathroom installations.

• Inspecting completed work and ensuring properties are left clean, tidy and ready for use.

• Working in occupied homes, communicating professionally with tenants and treating their properties with respect.

• Using a PDA to receive job instructions, update work progress and record completed works.

• £34,000–£37,000 annual salary, depending on experience.

• Company van and fuel card provided.

Experience working for a housing association, local authority, council, social housing provider, MOD, maintenance contractor or domestic refurbishment company would be advantageous.
