Digital Press Operator

Dagenham Digital Print

I’m recruiting for a Digital Press Operator to join a digital print department in Dagenham. You’ll produce high-quality work to job specifications, keep presses running efficiently and help maintain a clean, well-organised press room.

The Role

You’ll operate digital presses, working accurately and independently to meet production requirements. You’ll also support the wider team with the day-to-day running of the department and help reduce waste, reprints and downtime.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating digital presses to job specifications and quality standards
• Working with HP Indigo Series 4 and Ricoh Pro 9210 and 9500 presses
• Monitoring print quality, recording reprints and reporting issues
• Helping maintain press uptime and completing maintenance reports
• Keeping presses and the press room clean and in good working order
• Supporting the Digital Press Manager and Senior Digital Press Operators
• Contributing to continuous improvement and Lean working practices
• Following health and safety, quality, environmental and information security procedures

Shifts

Rotating Double Days, Mon – Fri 06:00 – 13:30 & 13:30 – 21:00 (occasional night shifts during busy periods, a shift allowance will be included).

Salary

Up to £30,000

What we’re looking for

You’ll be comfortable working autonomously in a busy production environment, with a strong eye for detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work. Knowledge of the specified press technology is important, along with a flexible approach to supporting the team when production demands require it.
