With continued investment in digital transformation, operational resilience and infrastructure security, the organisation is looking for an experienced engineer to help deliver reliable and secure technology solutions.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Critical Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, improving and securing technology environments that support essential services.

Working alongside infrastructure, engineering and cybersecurity teams, you will contribute to major infrastructure projects while ensuring systems remain reliable, scalable and secure.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, implement and maintain critical infrastructure systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Support infrastructure modernisation and technology transformation projects.
• Work with networking, virtualisation, server and storage technologies.
• Identify infrastructure risks and implement improvements to system resilience and availability.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen security controls and operational practices.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide senior-level technical guidance.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, business continuity and infrastructure monitoring initiatives.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or a similar technical role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux environments.
• Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware.
• Understanding of networking, firewalls, backup and disaster recovery.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
• An understanding of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure hardening.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work across technical teams.
• Experience within utilities, energy, transport, mining or other critical infrastructure environments will be highly regarded.

WHAT'S ON OFFER?

• Salary package of 140,000 – 160,000 Super.
