Job Description:
Are you a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships, solving problems and spotting opportunities to grow business?
We’re looking for a motivated and organised Key Account Manager to join a growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, sales support or a junior commercial role who is ready to take the next step into account management.
You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams, develop valuable commercial skills and build the confidence to manage customer accounts, strengthen relationships and identify new sales opportunities.
Full support and opportunities to develop will help you grow into the role.
What You’ll Be Doing- Building strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Responding to enquiries and preparing accurate quotations.
- Managing customer orders from initial enquiry through to delivery.
- Keeping customers updated and ensuring their needs are met.
- Working with internal teams and suppliers to keep orders on track.
- Following up on quotations and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
- Supporting pricing discussions and commercial negotiations.
- Maintaining accurate customer records and order information.
- Helping improve customer satisfaction, retention and account growth.
You don’t need to be an established Key Account Manager already. We’re interested in people with the right attitude, transferable skills and ambition to develop.
You’ll ideally have:
- Experience in customer service, sales support, account coordination or a similar role.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Confidence managing multiple tasks and priorities.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and business systems.
- A genuine interest in business development and commercial growth.
- The motivation to learn, take ownership and progress your career.
Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment would be beneficial, but a willingness to learn and develop is just as important.
What’s in It for You?- £30,000–£35,000 salary, depending on experience.
- Workplace pension and sick pay.
- Free parking and convenient access to the train station.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- The opportunity to take ownership of customer relationships.
- A clear opportunity to build your experience and progress within a growing commercial team.
39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Additional hours may occasionally be required during busier seasonal periods, typically November to February, with overtime paid.
Take the Next StepIf you’re currently working in customer service, sales support or account coordination and are ready for a role where you can develop your commercial skills, build customer relationships and grow into a successful Key Account Manager, we’d love to hear from you.
You don’t need to have all the answers on day one - just the drive to learn, build relationships and make an impact.
