We are looking for 2 experienced Mechanical Site Managers to join major mechanical projects based in Euston and Canary Wharf, London.

Candidates must have proven commercial mechanical building services experience. This is a strict requirement. Applicants with only domestic, residential or non-commercial mechanical experience will not be considered.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who have built their careers within commercial mechanical subcontracting and are confident managing site operations, coordinating installation teams and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

As Mechanical Site Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site, managing subcontractors, coordinating labour and working closely with the wider project team to ensure works are delivered in line with programme, quality and health and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and overseeing day-to-day commercial mechanical installation activities.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour and site-based engineering teams.
• Supervising mechanical services installation, including commercial pipework, plant rooms, heating, ventilation and associated building services.
• Working closely with project managers, engineers, clients and other trades to coordinate site activities.
• Monitoring progress against programme and reporting updates to senior management.
• Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with RAMS and site requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality control and installation compliance.
• Reviewing technical drawings, identifying issues and resolving site queries.
• Managing snagging and supporting testing, commissioning and completion of mechanical works.
• Maintaining accurate site records and supporting the management of variations.
• Building strong working relationships with clients, subcontractors and the wider project team.

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Mechanical Site Manager who can take ownership of site delivery and lead mechanical installation teams effectively.

Essential requirements:

• Proven commercial mechanical building services experience — essential.
• Several years' experience working for a mechanical subcontractor within the commercial construction sector.
• Demonstrable experience managing commercial mechanical installation projects on site.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial mechanical systems, pipework, plant installation and building services.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, engineers and site labour.
• The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain progress against programme.
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures, RAMS and site compliance.
• The ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and resolve technical issues on site.
• Strong communication, organisational and client-facing skills.
• Relevant site management qualifications, such as SMSTS.

Please note: Commercial mechanical experience is mandatory. Candidates without relevant commercial building services experience will not be considered for these positions.
