Field Service Engineer – Retail

Location: West Midlands, field-based

I’m recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to support retail customers across the West Midlands. You’ll service weighing, labelling and point-of-sale equipment, helping customers keep their operations running smoothly.

Working remotely and at customer sites, you’ll diagnose faults, carry out repairs and preventative maintenance, and support equipment installations, upgrades and calibrations. You’ll also provide remote troubleshooting where possible, keep service records up to date and explain technical issues clearly to customers.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in field service, maintenance or engineering, ideally supporting retail or similar equipment
• Strong fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical and basic networked systems
• Confidence managing your own schedule and prioritising service calls
• Clear communication and a customer-focused approach
• A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the West Midlands

Experience with weighing, labelling or POS equipment would be useful, as would knowledge of Windows systems, basic networking or field service software. An electrical or electronic qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience is also welcome.

The role is full-time and permanent, with a company vehicle and training and development opportunities.
