Warehouse Manager – Nights

Location: ST1, Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £43,500 per annum
Working Hours: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00–06:00
Shift: Permanent Night Shift

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Warehouse Manager to join our busy distribution centre based in ST1, Stoke-on-Trent.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced distribution environment and has a proven track record of managing warehouse operations, leading teams and delivering outstanding performance.

Working on a permanent night shift, you will take responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of warehouse operations, ensuring that productivity, accuracy, service levels and health and safety standards are consistently maintained

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day running of the warehouse during the night shift.

Lead, motivate and develop warehouse team members to achieve operational targets.

Ensure all inbound and outbound activities are completed accurately and on time.

Monitor productivity, performance and key operational KPIs.

Maintain high standards of stock accuracy, warehouse organisation, and housekeeping.

Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures and company policies.

Manage workload planning, resource allocation, and shift handovers.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall warehouse performance.

Work closely with transport, operations, and other departments to ensure smooth distribution operations.

Address operational issues promptly and implement effective solutions

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a warehouse management or senior warehouse supervisory role.
• Experience working within a busy warehouse or distribution centre environment.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
• A results-driven approach, with a strong focus on productivity and operational efficiency.
• A good understanding of warehouse health and safety requirements.
• The ability to work independently and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
