Are you a commercially driven Business Development Manager who knows how to open doors, build relationships and turn opportunities into revenue?
We're working with an established Hard Facilities Management contractor looking to strengthen its presence across the education sector. With existing opportunities in the pipeline and ambitious growth plans, they're looking for someone who can take ownership of new business development, build their own network and secure new contracts.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the market, developing relationships with key decision-makers and turning conversations into commercial opportunities.
The opportunityYou'll play a key role in driving growth across the higher and further education sectors, developing new relationships with universities, colleges and other relevant public-sector organisations.
There is already work in the pipeline, but the business wants someone who can create their own opportunities rather than rely on leads generated elsewhere. You'll have the autonomy to manage your own diary, get out and meet people, identify opportunities and build a sustainable pipeline of new business.
While education is the preferred market, candidates with a strong background in healthcare, public sector or other relevant hard FM environments will also be considered.
What we're looking forWe're looking for a confident, proactive business developer, who can demonstrate a genuine ability to generate new business and convert opportunities into contracts.
Ideally, you'll have:
A proven track record in business development or sales within hard FM, M&E, building services or a closely related sector.
Experience winning new business rather than solely managing existing client accounts.
A strong understanding of the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship building through to negotiation and closing.
Experience selling into higher or further education, healthcare, local government or other public-sector environments.
The commercial awareness to understand project costs, pricing and contract values.
Experience working with tenders, bids and formal procurement processes.
If you're a commercially minded Business Development Manager who enjoys winning new business, building relationships and creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you, we'd love to hear from you.
