The Role:
Are you an experienced Employment Advisor, Employment Specialist or Recruitment Consultant looking for a role where you can genuinely make a difference to people's lives?
We are looking for motivated and people-focused professionals to join a growing Connect to Work team across the Wirral. You will support individuals with disabilities and health-related conditions to overcome barriers, build confidence and progress towards sustainable employment.
Working out in the community, you will manage your own caseload and provide personalised, one-to-one employment support. You will get to know each individual, understand their goals and challenges, and provide the practical support and encouragement they need to move forward.
The role involves:
- Managing a caseload and delivering tailored face-to-face employment support across the local community.
- Completing initial assessments to understand each individual's skills, experience, aspirations and barriers to employment.
- Developing personalised action plans focused on achievable employment goals.
- Providing practical job search support, coaching and ongoing motivation.
- Setting and regularly reviewing SMART goals to maintain engagement and progression.
- Connecting individuals with appropriate training, workshops and specialist support services.
- Helping participants build confidence, develop employability skills and prepare for the workplace.
- Supporting individuals to secure and sustain suitable employment.
- Maintaining accurate records of participant activity, progress and outcomes.
You’ll need:
- Previous experience as an Employment Advisor, Employment Specialist, Employment Coach, Job Coach, Careers Advisor or Recruitment Consultant.
- Experience of managing a caseload and providing personalised employment or recruitment support.
- A strong understanding of the barriers people with disabilities or health conditions may experience when looking for work.
- Experience of carrying out assessments, identifying support needs and developing action plans.
- Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to motivate and engage individuals who may lack confidence or face multiple barriers to employment.
- A proactive, organised and target-focused approach.
- Empathy, resilience and a genuine commitment to helping people achieve their employment goals.
- A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle, as regular travel across the Wirral is required.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be a vehicle driver with access to your own vehicle. You will be required to complete an online Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and you will have access to your own vehicle as you will travel across the region.
If this sounds like the perfect role for you then please submit your CV.
