Commissioning Engineer – South Cambridge £25 an hour
initially for 6 months contract, however it is likely that this will be extended for up to two years.

Yoh Solutions have an amazing opportunity for commissioning engineer to work for our client; a very successful manufacture and provider of Pharmaceutical Equipment this position will be joining their manufacturing group. The Manufacturing Team consists of a wide range of personalities with individual skills; a mix of hands on, logistical and manufacturing management skills. The nature of the role is varied within the demands of or client’s products and the technologies contained within, and therefore the team needs to be adaptable.

JOB SPECIFICATION
In this position you will be working with the manufacturing group; to build, commission and test the products prior to delivery and installation at the customer sites.

It is the Manufacturing group who:
• Work with product development to ensure a product design is fit for manufacture
• Define the manufacturing processes required to meet the quality / cost / volume targets
• Identify targets for improved quality or cost reduction
• Find and maintain suppliers that meet performance requirements
• Build sub and final assemblies configured to customer’s requirements
• Power-up, test and commission products to processes
• Control stock levels to meet financial and sales forecast targets

Key Job Tasks
• Working hands on to test, document and commission products using defined processes
• Liaising with build, commissioning and manufacturing engineers, the purchasing team, and other internal functions, as required, to maintain and improve the output of the manufacturing cell
• Negotiate, schedule and communicate the manufacturing priorities within the team
• Ensure that production documentation and instructions are correctly recorded and kept up-to-date
