This role and contract sit within our Facilities Management sector of G4S where we aim to improve the lives of people across the UK and Ireland by creating productive, safe and smooth working environments.

We have an opportunity for a Building and Civil Engineering Operative to join our team, based in Cheltenham. 

As a Building and Civil Engineering Operative, you will operate to deliver planned and reactive maintenance. The role will require an understanding of installed building engineering services and will be predominately maintenance and reactive works associated with building and construction engineering.

Other Key Responsibilities will include:

• Undertake all works in accordance with the SLA and KPI’s, site policies and Health and Safety rules and regulations.
• Oversee on-site contractors, ensuring their work is completed satisfactorily.
• Respond to defects, faults and client requests and work with others to identify root causes to prevent reoccurrence.
• Maintain records and produce simple reports as required.
• Ensure all planned maintenance tasks are completed within the designated time period to enable full compliance.
• Proactively identify material requirements, completing appropriate paperwork in a timely manner to enable service delivery.
• To identify opportunities in order to provide continuous improvement for service delivery.
• To take a proactive support role in delivery of a safe, clean and healthy working environment for all staff.
• Develop and maintain day to day contact with client representatives.

Essential Criteria:

To be successful for this role, you will have experience in working in a commercial or industrial FM service delivery environment, BSC level 1 qualification and be IT literate.

IOSH supervising safely and ONC engineering or NVQ3 engineering would also be desirable. 

DV Clearance will be required to fulfil this role.
