THE ROLE OF A KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER:
As a key account manager, you will look to cultivate relationships with the customer base consisting primarily of dealerships and manufacturers across the UK.
Working with both the vehicle manufacturers themselves and the franchised dealership networks you will act as the link between them, ensuring that there is continuity across the supply chain from the manufacturer approval, all the way down to ensuring the dealerships are buying / using your products.
Alongside this dealership-centric sales model, this organisation are also looking to branch out and expand further into the automotive aftermarket and get involved in more depth with distributors, motor factors and buying groups.
Offering a fantastic range of high quality of products and an unbeatable service proposition you will have plenty of opportunity to grow and develop existing accounts while at the same time, have the whole of UK’s marketplace to develop new ones.
Another key area of the role is the responsibility and management of a small sales team which requires your mentoring and guidance. There are no lone-rangers in this business and they pride themselves on having an all-inclusive atmosphere and a great team spirit.
This role would ideally suit someone that is looking for a position where they can manage key multi-million-pound relationships along with a small sales team and have the foresight to create and implement plans on a more strategic level.
EXPERIENCE IDEALLY REQUIRED FOR A KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER:
It is crucial to be both a thinker and doer. Being able to analyse the current state of play of your products and their penetration while thinking outside the box and devising creative solutions to grow the turnover.
A strong working knowledge of either the automotive aftermarket or automotive dealership networks is required as to help you hit the ground running as quickly as possible. Alongside this any mentoring / management experience would also be advantageous.
You will also be travelling within this role extensively, both seeing your own accounts but also team meetings and joint visits. As such, someone must be comfortable staying away from home when required.
