We are looking for a Lead Engineer who will be responsible for technical leadership of multiple teams, building automation pipelines, coding microservices or prototyping new technology like service meshes. A fast learner and expert in open source technology. End to end responsibility from build to run following SRE. Helping us grow a culture of mentoring and knowledge sharing through tech guilds.

We are looking for a Lead Engineer for one of our digital hubs helping build our modern content platform. We need a technical expert with a broad skillset that can lead and mentor whilst remaining hands-on.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be a full stack Lead Engineer with end to end experience across application engineering and DevOps. You’ll be responsible for technical leadership of multiple teams, building automation pipelines, coding microservices or prototyping new technology like service meshes.

 

About you

We need somebody with the following:

  • Experience of working within a DevOps/SRE environment and a good working knowledge of the associated tooling
  • Proven ability to be accountable for engineering decisions within a technical environment
  • Strong understanding of the development lifecycle and experience of working under Agile development methodologies
  • Comfortable with peer reviews
  • The ability to quickly learn and work with new tools
  • Drive to continuously innovate and improve
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including status reporting
  • Prior financial services experience would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Technical leadership and consultancy to senior stakeholders

Experience of the following:

  • React, C#, NodeJS
  • Experience in Javascript, Typescript
  • Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, Google Skaffold
  • Webpack, Redux
  • GraphQL / Apollo Server
  • AWS, Azure, Azure DevOps
