Senior Data & BI Developer / Engineer - BI platforms, database and data warehouse infrastructure - Microsoft, SQL, Azure - Poole - a design, develop build role to help transform data infrastructure and BI platforms

In this business critical role you will be working closely with stakeholders across all of the business to establish data needs and optimising the data warehouse infrastructure that sits behind that. As part of a wider digital transformation and modernisation piece, actionable data has never been more important and you'll play a key role in advancing that with a mix of internal consultancy and design as well as hands on infrastructure development and leading technical projects.

Predominantly a Microsoft house, ideal applicants will have design, build & development experience of most of the following:

• SQL Databases - SSIS, SSRS, SSAS
• Complex SQL queries
• Data Warehouses & Data Lakes
• Data Cubes / OLAP
• ETL
• Azure cloud services
• An understanding of 'Big Data'

Also beneficial but not essential would be any experience or knowledge of the following -

• BI reporting, data visualisation and analytics tools - eg PowerBI, /Qlikview (desirable)
• Other data warehouse / BI tools like Cognos / Teradata (desirable)
• Working knowledge of Hadoop, AWS Redshift, MongoDB (desirable)
• Python or Java development
• An understanding of DevOps, Agile, Scrum / Kanban development environments
• Data Mining and machine learning techniques

The role will be working from home for the immediate future and then a mix of home with some very occasional travel required across the UK. A base salary of up to c£55k is on offer (dependant on experience)
