Senior IT Security Analyst (SOC) - IT security, cyber security, automation, scripting - Portsmouth -playing a key role in identifying risks and reacting to security threats

In this interesting and ever changing role you'll be part of a busy SOC team on the front foot in cyber security for a large organisation. You'll investigate new technologies for threat protection and prevention and continue to iterate tools and technology to keep the business safe. Reporting in to the Security Manager you'll help mentor and encourage junior members of the team and take the lead on projects

Ideal applicants will have a strong IT / Cyber Security background working at a large or enterprise scale organisation. You'll also have a good level of experience across most of the following -

• Securing and monitoring on premise and cloud environments
• Threat management and monitoring tools
• Active Directory, Group Policy and PKI
• Windows 10 and Microsoft Server Infrastructure
• LAN WAN Networks and Network infrastructure & hardware (routing & switching, firewalls, VPN's, load balancing)
• Scripting and automation (ideally a healthy mix of JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, Bash and SQL)
• Risk & threat management and mitigation
• An understanding of security frameworks (NIST would be desirable)
• A grounding in data security accreditations eg PCI DSS (strongly desirable)
• Existing certifications or working towards CISA, GSEC or even on the CISSP track (desirable and will be supported)

The role will be a mix of working from home initially due to the current circumstances but will require a bit of flexibility occasionally for travel to other sits. If successful you will be required to undergo security clearance. In return, a base salary of up to £66k is on offer (dependant on experience) as well as a good benefits package and opportunities for career progression and training.
