Our client, an IT service Provider, is requiring a Web Content Manager to be based in Brussels at their end client's site.

The role will be based within a department who is responsible the development, maintenance and operation of the organisations in house e-portal system. Within the framework of this project, the department wishes to use the assistance of the Web Content Manager to support the work of the team, with regard to the Portal's content management.

NATURE OF THE TASKS

The candidate is expected to perform the following activities:

  • To carry out web mastering tasks concerning the Portal, in particular:

- Preparation of content material (incl. editing and layout improvements);

- Preparation of translation requests, their introduction and follow-up in the system used by the Commission's translators (Poetry);

- Upload of new content material (including translations), revision of existing content material, sending reminders to specific groups of users

  • Exercise quality control.
  • Actively liaise and communicate with other team members, internal and external stakeholders.

We are looking for a passion-driven individual, who is a good team player and at the same time has the capacity to take initiative and act autonomously, as appropriate. He/she must be resilient to stress and be able of demonstrating a high level of sustained efficiency and productivity.

Candidates should have excellent organisational and communication skills, and have an eye for detail. The successful candidate will be required to liaise - orally and in writing - with our many stakeholders and to report clearly and effectively to management.

Candidates should have the capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment and possess rapid self-starting capability.

Experience and knowledge of HTML, CSS, major web browsers and web content management systems is a plus. In-house training of the Portal's Content Management System (CMS) will be provided.

2-4 years of professional experience

The candidate should have an excellent command of English (working language).

Minimum educational qualifications: bachelor's level or 3 years of higher education

Contract for an initial 12 months, paying up to €245 per day freelance/LTD
