Responsibilities:

• Develop designs, scopes or work, and execute plans for transmission projects 34.5 kV - 500 kV
• Projects may include rebuilds, relocations, new lines, upgrades, fiber optic additions, and/or structure replacements
• Prepare estimates of costs and schedules
• Heavily utilize software such as AutoCAD, PLS-CADD,PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite
• Apply GO95 requirements to all designs
• Coordinate efforts with other departments as needed
• Mention and provide direction to junior colleagues
• Continually strive to increase knowledge and skills in areas related to engineering
• Regularly correspond/meet with client representatives
• Offer field support during construction

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering from accredited program
• 5+ years' related transmission engineering experience
• EIT/PE license preferred
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS-Lite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem-solving/analytical skills
