Our passion is to support local governments and organisations in gradually changing this direction as we work together to reduce the impact on those whose employment was affected during this time.

The role of Employment Key Worker will be focused on providing employment support to those individuals affected. You will encourage, support, and empower participants through their journey towards employment.

You will build and maintain effective rapport to support participants to find sustainable employment through remote digital platforms and elements of face to face support. This role is primarily home based with the requirement to work from an office as needed.

In brief you will:

Providing a predominately remote and digital employment support service, effectively utilising platforms such as video conferencing, iWorks / ICareer, (and others) to recommend appropriate job search activities and community and industry networking opportunities.

Work in a fast paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities

Provide job search support, guiding participants to register on appropriate jobs boards and ensuring their digital profiles are up to date and visible to employers.

Ensure clients have access to workshop / module options based on individual diagnostics and tailored support (inc. health, mental health, transferable skills, job searching, cv writing, interview skills) Plan SMART actions for participants and review next steps on a weekly / monthly basis.

The Programme

This role is part of our new Work and Health Programme contract.

This contract is designed to help our Greater Manchester residents who have been unemployed and in receipt of benefits for at least 13 weeks, to find sustained work. We work with a range of people throughout, including employment specialists and local community organisations to create a support package to help our participants find the right job.
