As an Engineer at you will:

• Provide technical input for the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of highway works.
• Work in close collaboration with the wider project team and other civil engineering disciplines

• Deliver significant elements of the detailed design, and manage outputs from technicians and junior staff, to achieve the optimum solution for the project
• Liaise with their clients and contractors and supervise works on site when required

• Have experience of 3D modelling (preferred) and design using appropriate software
• Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues in a team environment.

You will be expected to perform the following duties as an Engineer:

• Produce design calculations, drawings and technical reports for internal and external project teams including clients
• Undertake highway geometric design in accordance with appropriate design standards (DMRB, MCHW etc.)
• Deliver designs within their BIM processes where applicable.
• Prepare contract documents for tender processes
• Prepare budgets and undertake monitoring and reporting to ensure deliverables are carried out within agreed timescales and budgets
• Attend design coordination meetings with external project teams including clients.
• Prepare survey drawing and specifications for survey work and review outputs.
• Ensure solutions meet client needs and that their expectations are met / exceeded
• Work in full compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 and the Information Management System (IMS)

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

• Good verbal and written communication
• Experience of technical input for the conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of highway works Experience of infrastructure and developer led projects would be an advantage.
• Good working experience of AutoCAD to produce quality drawings.
