The company are a Global leader in the Engineering Technology sector, providing solutions to customers and partners in over 100 countries! Due to recent project wins, the company are working closely with key Technology partners within the industry and are looking for Principal Requirement Engineer to join the team!

Important: All applicants must be able to obtain Security Clearance.

The role is working within a dynamic Project Team, where you will be focussing around requirements management for the electronic and avionic system upgrades.

As the Principal Requirements Engineer you will carry out requirements engineering/management and engineering design methods as required, in addition to writing of technical proposals in support of new bids.

Experience Needed:

  • Degree Qualified or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline, such as Electronics, Hardware, Systems or Physics.
  • Strong understanding and reviewing of systems, software, hardware, test and integration documentation to confirm that the software, hardware and architecture design are compliant.
  • Detailed knowledge of requirements management using DOORS.
  • Experience in the Safety, Quality and Regulatory compliance of all activities.
  • Experience in fulfilling tasks to agreed time, budget and quality
  • The ability to understand, negotiate, and present existing capability and new customer requirements.
  • Experience in recognising the need for and proposing process and product improvements to ensure best practice and compliance with relevant standards (including safety)
  • Managing and prioritising of own and others time across multiple activities to meet relevant deadlines and timescales
  • Experience with technology roadmaps and technical strategy, along with contribution towards Team Cost Estimation.
  • Excellent communication, technical report writing and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work within a large organisation in a matrix management structure.
  • Self-motivated, confident and assertive.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of aircraft or avionic systems.
  • Experience working in the Defence or similar safety regulated industry.
  • RF engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of EASA certification requirements and processes.
