If you can analyse a company’s website and present advice on how to update and modify websites and social media in order to appeal to an international marketplace this could be the role for you?

Working for the Department of International Trade you will be given a caseload of SME’s that need website and social media support to increase SEO in an international market place.  

A Digital International Trade Adviser will support businesses to make cultural changes to their social media posts and website to give maximum appeal in countries outside the UK.

As an experienced International Digital Trade Adviser, you will work with and encourage businesses both experienced and novice to consider the advantages of exporting products and services via their website in order to trade Internationally

The ideal candidate will use their specific skills and experience to advise, mentor and intensively work with client companies to aid growth, improve competitiveness to significantly increase sales and profits via International Digital Trade Activity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Significant practical private sector/ commercial experience in a Digital / E-Commerce environment preferably in an international environment
• Sound general knowledge of international ecommerce trade including the mechanics of e-exporting.
• Thorough knowledge and experience of the following:-Digital Marketing, Search Engine Optimisation, Social Media and Social listening, E commerce best practice, Mobile Marketing, localisation, website analytics and data analysis
• The Adviser will require excellent communications. Competent IT skills.
• Able to relate to people at all levels. Influencing skills.
• Is able to conduct specific research for companies and assist them in this process as required. Excellent organisational skills. Very high level presentation skills. Time management skills and can multi task in an intensive environment.
• Strong and evidence experienced project management ability and ability to work with financial information with major SME companies.
