Design Technology Teacher 

Cumbria 

January 2021 Start 

An outstanding secondary school based in Cumbria has asked Vida Education to help them recruit for a passionate and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join them from January 2021.

This position is a supply post which will run through to the end of the academic year, although there is a chance it could lead to a permanent post. 

The ideal candidate for this post will have exceptional subject knowledge and be expected to deliver the highest quality lessons, enabling students to access higher levels of learning through engaging, creative and varied lessons.

You must have a good understanding of the National Curriculum and be able to plan effective, differentiated lessons.

The school are hoping to interview and shortlist in the next couple weeks.

Requirements for candidates will include:

• GCSE Design technology (AQA)       
• Cambridge nationals - Engineering Design Level 1/2 - OCR 
• 3D Product Design 
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP, BA Education, B.Ed, Cert Ed or equivalent
• Up to date knowledge of the British National Curriculum
• A passion for teaching
• Good behaviour management
• Enthusiastic
