Occupational Therapist – Birmingham

Part Time - £40,000 pro rata

A fantastic opportunity has just become available for an Occupational therapist in the Birmingham area.

About the role:

• Support those who are off work through fitness to work reports, and advice on vocational rehabilitation
• Give advice and teach self-management strategies for fatigue, anxiety, memory issues and many other symptoms
• Proactively identify and support individuals with underlying issues such as social isolation that result in frequent visits to the GP’s surgery.
• Conduct home assessments to reduce risks, eg falls,
• Promote independence by providing rehabilitation to restore abilities
• Provide equipment and advising adaptations for the home where necessary
• Advise on local support through third sector and community networks
• Provide advice to families and carers
• Triage and assess patients for both physical and mental health conditions with onward referral and proactively support patients as part of new care models to improve population health particularly with diverse groups

• Clinical support and supervision
