Job Description:

Full-time (37 hours per week) Skills House Project Manager contract to start on 01-02-21 until 14-02-21 with a possible extension.

Main Responsibilities:

- This is a critical programme change manager role project managing and supporting the delivery of the District Workforce Development Plan. The post holder, as a senior change manager, will receive minimal line management direction with a remit to ensure on-going partner participation and engagement. The post-holder will therefore have autonomy for a range of decision making across the project management of SkillsHouse’ development plan.

- Expected to deal with complex problems on a regular basis. The Project Manager will be expected to work independently to analyse data and processes and makes recommendations to the Strategy Manager Employment and Skills and other senior leaders across the wide span of employment and skills networks.

- Develop sound working relationships with key stakeholders to inform and shape plans, secure resources, ensure accountability is clear, and that action and responsibilities are taken as required.

- Develop a sound project management plan aligned to evidence and outcomes ensuring that SkillsHouse can track cost/benefit and return on investment.  Develop and manage the partnership and project budgets.

- As required, lead and participate in events, meetings and networks to share and develop practice and thinking relating to objectives of the Partnership.

- Promote equality objectives (legislation, applicable policy and good practice) in order to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity, foster good relations with all our communities and partners, narrow equalities gaps, reflect the needs of our communities.

Requirements:

- Interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate with a variety of audiences to bring about behavioural change, effect decision making and achieve desired results/ outcomes as necessary.

- Proven track record of managing large and diverse projects to deliver outstanding performance and customer service.

- Proven track record of operating complex projects or programmes and providing clear advice on risks, delivery options, cost implications and recommended solutions, in relation to employment and skills.

- Must have end to end project experience.
