Development Manager / Team Lead

A leading E-Learning / Education-Technology company have a new opening for a Software Development Manager.

The company are a fast growing, friendly and welcoming company with offices across the UK. They have done very well over the last 12 months and have many exciting projects happening.

Covid has changed the landscape for education and this company are at the forefront of helping schools adapt to these changes.

The team is made up of a Solutions Architect, 5 developers and a tester.

This role is fully remote now and part-remote post Covid. They are very flexible/accommodating.

Responsibilities include:

• Hands on coding
• Code reviews
• Coaching and mentoring junior developers

• Liaising with other departments within the company to promote the work of the team, demonstrate new features and communicate progress on the roadmap.

• Working closely with Product, Operations and Data Management teams to plan and align roadmaps and requirements

Desirable skills:

• 2+ years' experience as a hands-on developer
• Experience with open source languages such as Python (preferred), JavaScript, PHP, Java (NOT ALL NEEDED)
• Knowledge of micro services
• Knowledge of API's
• Leadership skills
• Effective communication skills

This role would suit someone who is a Senior Developer, Team Lead, Architect or current Development Manager.

Candidates with experience in any of these languages will be considered: Python, JavaScript, Node JS, C#, Java, PHP, Ruby, Angular, Go.
