Summary of Role
Design and co-ordination of complex controls system projects for a wide variety of industries
You will be reporting directly to the Director of Engineering.

Job Responsibilities
Total engineering and commercial responsibility for projects, from initial handover to completion and beyond.
Provide a high-quality service to customers, whilst delivering projects in line with the Company's philosophy.
Maintain the Company's reputation as a leading-edge systems integrator.
Take complete ownership of the project at handover stage and maintain responsibility for all activities, including those delegated to other staff or sub-contractors.
Detailed hardware and software design including product selection.
Manage project expenditure, ensuring that budgets are maintained.
Comply with all relevant standards and work to the Company's ISO9001:2015 registered quality procedures
Review of projects on a regular basis, ensure that delivery and other milestones met.
Advise the Director of Engineering and Innovation of any items that may impact on the project programme to ensure that we maintain our policy of never delivering late.
Liaise closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure that all purchases are made ensuring that the time constraints of the project are maintained, and such purchases are competitively priced.
Generate quotations and specifications, and negotiate with the customer for additional cost items.
Manage any customer change order requests, including additional cost items, to ensure that prices and budgets are correctly maintained.
Organise CAD, manufacturing, test, despatch and commissioning activities during the course of the project.
Visit customer sites where required to ensure smooth flow of the project.
On-site commissioning of completed project, if required.
Comply with all Company procedures as defined in various documents including the Quality Manual, Staff Manual and Health & Safety Manual.
Pro-active in supporting other company activities such as supporting fellow engineers, training, and assisting with sales and site support.
Maintain good relationships with customers, suppliers and company staff.
Travel within the UK and overseas.
Other duties as required.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Qualified to degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
Previous experience in industrial drive and control systems.
Good working knowledge of variable speed drives, PLCs and SCADA/HMI products.
Ability to work either individually or as part of a team.
Able to manage and document the information required for a successful project.
