Job Description:

Data Quality Analyst required for a 9 month FTC based in Poole (remote working initially).

Working for a high-profile organisation, As a Data Quality Analyst within the Enterprise Data Governance Team, you will establish strong working relationships with stakeholders and project teams to understand the Data Quality issues, delve in to the depths of the data and profile it, understand the implications and present findings. You will work with our data teams and wider IT to find solutions and corrective measures to bring the quality of our data to the highest possible level across the organisation.

You will have access to market leading Data Quality tools to profile the data, produce statistics and dashboards and develop business rules to monitor the data and guide the organisation on a journey to better quality data.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Raising data quality and performance levels across the RNLI
  • Analysing Data Quality issues and trace back to root causes, profile data for volumes, completeness and accuracy
  • In consultation with process SMEs, document, create and apply data quality rules and data profiling routines in order to improve our data quality management
  • Support data stewards in using self-service capability within the Ataccama suite, and in driving DQ improvements within the Marketing department
  • Providing reporting on Data Quality and trending
  • Proactively improving the quality of marketing reporting by influencing and embedding awareness and understanding of data quality.
  • Work with Marketing stakeholders to improve awareness and understanding of data quality, and underlying root causes of issues within the RNLI
  • Support the evaluation and identification of system enhancements by articulating how the issues are presenting to the developers, and sizing the impact on data to inform cost benefit analysis

About You

You'll be someone who has proven experience in the areas of Data Quality and Data Analysis. You will have a deep understanding of techniques around profiling and investigation of data, with technical skills in TSQL and other Data Quality tools. You will be passionate about Data Quality and will have helped your previous organisations achieve higher levels of Data Quality.

You'll be able to communicate effectively with non-technical and technical team members, and have excellent facilitation, interpersonal and presentation skills. Along with the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a timely manner, you'll be flexible and adaptable in approach and delivery.

You will have extensive experience as a Data Quality Analyst working in a data centric organisation and role, and understand data, the data life cycle and data use in Transactional Processing, Data Warehousing, Data Analysis, and Reporting.

This position is to start ASAP and will pay between £35,993 to £42,345 (dependent on experience) per annum pro rata.
