General purpose:

The main purpose of this role is to support the Quality Department's functional objectives, implement and maintain a proactive business management system which details objectives and KPIs in line with company goals, ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. In conjunction with external agencies/consultants, provide internal support and guidance in all areas of Aerospace Quality, H&S and Environmental compliance.

Key deliverables:

• Help develop and implement company business management systems and self-sustaining processes covering AS9120, ASA-100, FAA AC 00-56B, ISO14001, ISO45001.
• Maintain the business management system and liaise with senior management to report on performance, making recommendations for future improvements where necessary
• Lead on the provision and sustainment of the business needs for trained First Aiders and Fire Marshalls
• Manage audits and approval processes
• Own, manage, develop and report on all company KPIs to senior management
• Co-ordinate and resolve any customer / supplier / internal quality issues
• Monitor compliance against customer requirements and standards
• Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices
• Ensure that any internal/external technical issues identified with either products or processes are effectively resolved

Requirements - experience:

• Knowledge of AS9120, ISO14001, IS045001 requirements (ASA-100 and FAA AC 00-56B advantageous)
• Background of working in an environment where attention to detail is important
• Computer literate (competent in Microsoft Office packages)
• Lead auditor trained with Auditing skills, organisation and forward planning abilities
• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering data including drawings, standards, etc. and their application
• Experience of using basic measuring equipment in an engineering environment
• Understanding and application of REACH requirements
• At least 5 years of experience in a Quality Senior Engineer / Management role. Within an aerospace or safety critical environment preferred
