The Role

The Onsite Service Engineer is to deliver frontline support in key operational activities including installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting of Edwards products. Key areas of focus will be on safety and quality, whilst maintaining customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertakes all maintenance activities (including installation and commissioning) of products in line with the companies global standards, whilst ensuring complete customer satisfaction
  • Provides front line support for key field service activities at customer sites ensuring a strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Conducts fault finding and troubleshooting support in order to resolve or escalate issues within the agreed contractual timeframes in order to meet customer expectations
  • Conducts all field service activities within the boundaries of all applicable regulations, policies and procedures to ensure organizational, safety and health obligations are met. Risk control elements covering all relevant aspects of the field service role must be adhered to always.
  • Provides detailed and accurate feedback on activities and compiles clear and concise reports for submission to the line manager and/or technical support to enable informed decisions to be made to resolve product issues

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Education level: University or formal qualification in an Electrical, Electromechanical or an Electronics discipline (With stronger bias to Electrical/Electronic)
  • Minimum of 2 years Field Service experience in a relevant or related industry, ideally customer facing
  • Can understand and interpret Technical Documentation relevant to work e.g. Electrical Schematics, P&IDS and Mechanical drawings
  • Strong customer focus to ensure delivered solutions, meet customer expectations and time frames, whilst working in alignment with strategies and processes
  • Proactively seeks customer feedback and asks questions to understand customers business
  • Able to use computer software to record data and write reports
